If there are books about unplugging, there must be a problem. Right?? Did you know most kids spend 7 hours a day on their device? That’s after school hours. What’s going on? Is this the elephant in the closet? Maybe. Today, I walked by a bus stop with ten kids waiting for the bus and only 1 wasn’t plugged in. Everyone else was looking down and ignoring their neighbor. 😦 This scene made me super sad. I remember when the bus stop was a place to chat, not a place to look down and ignore. So I began to question: Will we need to teach social skills, write how tos on making conversations, and enforce mindful tech usage to this generation? Probably. More than likely. Maybe soon there will be a an app for that.
